Introducing Smart Storyz

Who are Smart Storyz For?

We have beta tested Smart Storyz with a number of different users in a variety of situations, each with different learning goals.

What we learned is that there are a few different personas that most benefit from Smart Storyz: independent learners, private practice individuals, and educators with specific instructional context.

Independent Learners

There has been a huge trend in recent years towards independent learning outside of any formal schooling or workplace context, and we’re excited to support this type of learning strategy.

What’s more: Smart Storyz are fun! Unlike other self-learning solutions which can feel like a chore, independents can enjoy the entertainment value of stories that showcase fun and often realistic scenarios for the subject matter at hand. Get smarter without feeling the grind of traditional “studying.”

Private Practice

As with independent learners, private practice entails learning outside of a formal course structure, except there will be some accountability expected on behalf of learners and a challenger/instructor.

Ranging from tutoring of students to small professional work groups geared toward employee development or anything in between, Smart Storyz makes it easy and fun to learn material based on realistic situations. Instructors and learners both benefit without having to sacrifice any of the structure of a traditional course, such as activity assignments or automatic scoring to capture learner performance.

Educators

The Smart Storyz platform lends itself perfectly to classroom-based education as well. Instructors such as teachers or professors can assign activities, i.e. the stories, and track performance both on a per story and on an aggregate per-student or per class basis. We’ve seen success in K12, Higher Ed., and professional education use cases.

What Can Smart Storyz Do?

The Smart Storyz platform is the leader in the educational narrative technology space. No other platform offers all of the following: personalization such as character name or gender, in-line & in-context question and answers, choose-your-own-path interaction, and historical context that remembers previous user choices, with the analytics to understand how learners are performing.

Every story is different and use of these capabilities may differ or come when you least expect it. What’s more: we are adding new capabilities (and new content) to the platform every week. Stay tuned for more as we post deep-dive articles about the cutting edge of interactive stories!

Access and Current Offerings

All users can register for free at SmartStoryz.com and gain access to the free catalog across a number of subject areas ranging from STEM to business, vocabulary to language learning, and more. Learners can self-evaluate with the built-in scoring capabilities of the platform to improve their mastery of any subject area at their own pace. Access to the premium catalog can be obtained with a monthly subscription that can be billed annually for a discount.

The Educator package is available with pricing based on details of the learning group or institution such as the number of students, for example.

In the coming weeks and months we will post more about our recent success stories with institutions and independent learners and educators having fun, learning, and gathering educational insights by using Smart Storyz.

Smart Storyz is a product of Quantum Narrative Inc. Founded by a small team that is passionate about the intersection of education and storytelling. Our Educational Advisory Board, made up of real-world, on-the-ground educators, offers guidance on how best to address the huge potential they see for disrupting traditional learning methods both inside and outside of the classroom. Most of all, we learn from student and learner feedback — hearing about their positive experiences motivates us to give them more. This is just the beginning!
